A three minute walk along the Broad Walk leads to the Opera House, where plays and shows are featured all year round, the bustling town centre, the University of Derby and St Anne's Well, where you can taste the spa waters from a spring fountain. A short walk in the other direction leads to the fascinating Poole's Cavern, an exciting family day out, or the starting point for a range of exhilarating walks across the Peak District.
